Espeelife Distributor of Top API’s Pharma Companies in India

Espeelife distributor of top API’s pharma companies in India

In India Espeelife group based in Ahmedabad is a trustworthy authorized dealers of top API’s pharma companies. The bulk drugs are called as API. We are one among few dealers maintaining flexibility, competitiveness and cost effectiveness in the market both domestic and international and our network includes Glaxo, Aurobindo, Cadila, Lupin, Dr. Reddys and lot more. We work with more of large and renowned pharmaceutical companies sourcing quality and affordable pricing products and services.

Domestic companies have moved up the value curve by filing complex certified dossiers. These filings are important for domestic as well as US companies, which are filing for approvals to launch generic drugs, and are truly indicative of the quality and regulatory compliance, which has become critical. Also, for Indian manufacturers in the US, sourcing APIs from Indian companies lowers costs. Indian companies are playing a huge role in providing tangible, long-term value to generic players in the US market. US being the largest standalone generic market, continues to offer attractive partnership opportunities as most US dosage manufacturers.

Aurobindo Pharma is to expand its bulk drugs business in the highly regulated US market and European market, another important factor is that a greater number of middle-rung pharmaceutical companies are moving towards contract research and contract manufacturing for pharma multinationals (MNCs). Prominent among them are Alembic and Cadila Pharmaceuticals.

Why china is leading in cheaper bulk drugs manufacturing and marketing? one of the analysts has explained it saying, "China has given a tough competition to Indian bulk drugs is not only because of the pricing, but also due to ready availability. Many of the small and medium API units actually export through traders, and other channels, and do not focus on securing long term contracts. They would manufacture on the basis of spot orders, and hence at times, there are delays in deliveries."

What are patent drugs or patent medicine

Indian pharmaceutical companies are highly efficient and tremendously growing

What are patent drugs or patent medicine?

Patent is license handled by government agency that gives the holder exclusive rights to a new invention for a certain period of time. Like in USA patent time is valid for 20 years. The benefit of patents is it provides incentive to keep going research and development of new products and services without any fear of competition around.

The patented drugs are expensive on account of excessive profiteering, loading of huge trade commission and promotional costs. Apart from excessive pricing of patented drugs, MNC's have been also claiming patent rights for products which are not actually new molecules. These companies have been filing applications for patenting different forms of the same drugs, like salt, polymorphs, analogues, crystalline and combinations with other drugs.

Pharmaceutical companies spend huge amount of money in research and development process to earn the better profit.  Small or large pharmaceutical companies have to face tough situation to keep maintain the quality of drugs which can get seriously affected during the transportation from the factory to wholesalers, distributor, retailer and finally to customer if they are carried in open vehicles exposed to sunlight and humid weather. Constant exposure to temperatures above 30 degree centigrade for a few days can substantially degrade the antibiotics and vitamins. Transportation of all medicines has to be, therefore, under refrigerated vehicles until they reached the patients or the ultimate consumers. Ensuring safety of drugs in the market is the prime responsibility of a regulatory authority in any country and India has been striving to achieve this goal for some years now with not much success. Unsafe and irrational drugs continue to be marketed in the country by both large and small companies, which knowingly affect the end user health and life.

Global pharma manufacturing companies

Global pharma manufacturing companies like Pfizer, Novartis is facing an unprecedented crisis in terms of sales growth, profitability and discovery of new drugs for the last some years now. With increasing rate of patent expiry of several blockbusters and reduced spending on research, top multinational drug companies are facing a rather gloomy future in the years to come.

As per the source below are the problems faced by India in pharmaceutical sectors
  • Controlling prices of essential drugs has been a challenging task for several years in India as the pharmaceutical companies have not been cooperating with the government to achieve this basic social objective.
  • Online selling of prescription drugs to overseas customers by a group of traders from India without drug licenses and prescriptions is posing a big challenge to the regulatory authorities in the country. This fast growing illegal trade of medicines from India can thus seriously affect the reputation of the country as India is already major supplier of quality generics to the world markets.
  • India has been witnessing the trend of steadily increasing import of APIs, intermediates and excipients from China at very low prices for some years now. The government was concerned as these imports were posing a threat to domestic API industry.
  • The use of medical devices for various health conditions has increased considerably during the last ten years in the country. But there is no competent authority to check the quality and prices of medical devices and that situation has led to marketing of substandard products getting into the market at exorbitant prices.
  • The need for centralizing drug licensing was felt as the state drug authorities have been issuing licenses without any scrutiny of applications resulting in circulation of thousands of irrational and harmful combination drugs in the market.
  • Steady decline in the export of pharmaceuticals especially to the big markets like the US and Europe during last two years is yet another issue of great concern.

Japan is also the most advanced market in the region in terms of scientific research, technology and medical equipment. The intellectual property rights (IPR) protection system of Japan is also much stronger than that of other Asian countries, giving patent protection for the new APIs and drug formulations.
